Flagstaff Childcare Centre acknowledges Māori as tangata whenua, implementing the Tiriti O Waitangi as a living document through supporting children and their whānau and promoting Tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
We provide a service of education that fosters children to grow up as competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit secure in their senses of belonging and knowledge that they make a valued contribution in society” (Te Whariki page 9).
Our educational program focuses on each child’s unique strengths and interests as we seek to develop their enthusiasm for learning. We believe children learn through play and that play is an essential part of our daily routine.
